Ahyun,

Thank you for sharing your learning experience with cognitivism and constructivism. I had the same experience trying to grasp the differences between these concepts and I must say, you have provided a clear and concise explanation. Your ability to think critically and problem-solve shines through in your explanation of this experience and has deepened my understanding of the differences between these learning approaches.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading your comparison of the educational systems between Canada and Korea, it is fascinating to hear about the differences in lesson structure and delivery. I am with you in preferring a constructivist approach, although I haven’t always felt that way. I started my journey at UVic pursuing a Psychology degree and found that it was predominantly cognitivism, but I then shifted to a Recreation and Health Education degree. Initially, I found this change a bit overwhelming, but quickly realized I was grasping content at a much deeper level as I was applying it to my own experiences in my personal and professional life.

Thank you for the engaging read and for sharing a bit about your experience here. I’m looking forward to hearing more!

Cheers,

Conrad
